Contrast-Induced Acute Kidney Injury in Radiologic Management of Acute Ischemic Stroke in the Emergency Setting INTERVENTIONAL
CONCLUSIONS: Patients with low baseline renal function had the highest incidence of postcontrast acute kidney injury after CTA and cerebral angiography, but no fatal adverse effects were documented. Thus, patients suspected of having a stroke should be actively managed with respect to neurovascular function.

Dietary Glycemic Index and Glycemic Load in Relation to Atherosclerotic Stenosis of Carotid and Cardiovascular Risk Factors in Ischemic Stroke Patients.

3D fusion imaging assisted carotid artery stenting is safe and feasible.
CONCLUSIONS: Carotid stenting with 3D fusion in this pilot study was safe and feasible. 3D fusion techniques using either CTA or MRA allowed a significant reduction of contrast volume but did not reduce radiation dose or exposure time. Conclusion: Intracranial artery calcification is common in patients with ischemic cerebrovascular disease and the intracranial carotid artery is most frequently affected. Intracranial arterial calcifications might be associated with imaging markers of SVD and are highly correlated with WMHs, lacunes, and CMBs. Conclusions: Embolism associated with asymptomatic carotid stenosis shows circadian variation with highest rates 4–6 h before midday. Clinical events beyond one year after an acute coronary syndrome: insights from the RECLOSE 2-ACS study.
CONCLUSIONS: Patients at risk of adverse events beyond 12 months after an ACS may be identified by simple clinical and angiographic characteristics such as age, diabetes, chronic kidney disease, prior MI and multivessel CAD.
