A Report of Two Patients with Food Protein-induced Enterocolitis Mimicking Bartter Syndrome
This study aims to emphasize the several features of this syndrome that may mimic other diagnoses and sometimes leading to near-death events due to delay in the diagnosis and improper treatment. The first patient was a 30-month-old boy with multiple episodes of profuse vomiting and diarrhea within 1 hour after breastfeeding, beginning from the first month of life progressing to hypokalemia and metabolic alkalosis at the age of 5 months leading to the diagnosis of Bartter syndrome. The second patient had a history of unremitting diarrhea which had been started soon after his first breastfeeding followed by biliary vomiting ...

Determinants of Breast Cancer Screening by Mammography in Women Referred to Health Centers of Urmia, Iran
Conclusions: The findings of this study showed that the status of breast cancer screening in participating women was not satisfactory. Therefore, promotion of screening methods by health policy makers in Iran is necessary and given that reliance solely on education is not sufficient, it is essential to pay attention to barriers and eliminate them. Evaluation of Maternal Risk Factors in Neonatal Hyperbilirubinemia.
CONCLUSION: The most common maternal risk factors for neonatal jaundice were prematurity, blood type incompatibilities, preeclampsia, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, vaginal bleeding, delivery problems (type of delivery, labor injuries, delivery at home, skin ecchymosis, and cephalohematoma), mothers and community cultural beliefs (use of traditional supplements), breast problems, and decrease in breastfeeding. Facilitating Factors and Barriers of Women's Cancer Screening in Iran: A Systematic Review
Int J Prev Med. 2020 Dec 11;11:199. doi: 10.4103/ijpvm.IJPVM_509_18. eCollection 2020.ABSTRACTLow uptake of women's cancer screening and its facilitating factors and barriers in Iran has been studied so far but no consensus on factors affecting this low uptake has been stated previously. Nevertheless, facilitating factors and barriers of breast cancer and cervical cancer have been reviewed. In this systematic review, Web of Science, PubMed, EMBASE, Scopus, and Google Scholar were the preferred search engines. In addition, the Persian database of Magiran and SIDs and ISC indexed journals were searched with different combina...

Training healthcare providers to respond to intimate partner violence against women
CONCLUSIONS: Overall, IPV training for HCPs may be effective for outcomes that are precursors to behaviour change. There is some, albeit weak evidence that IPV training may improve HCPs' attitudes towards IPV. Training may also improve IPV knowledge and HCPs' self-perceived readiness to respond to those affected by IPV, although we are not certain about this evidence. Although supportive evidence is weak and inconsistent, training may improve HCPs' actual responses, including the use of safety planning, identification and documentation of IPV in women's case histories. The sustained effect of training on these outcomes bey...

Menstrual and Reproductive Factors and Risk of Breast Cancer in Iranian Female Population: A Systematic Review and Meta ‑Analysis
Conclusions: Our findings suggest that age at the first pregnancy and menopausal status were significantly associated with BC risk among Iranian women, whereas menarche age, nulliparity, and history of breastfeeding were not. In regard to the history of abortion, our findings revealed no association with BC, but in high ‑quality studies, this relationship was significant.

A Systematic Review on Predisposition to Lymphoid (B and T cell) Neoplasias in Patients With Primary Immunodeficiencies and Immune Dysregulatory Disorders (Inborn Errors of Immunity)
Conclusions Though this is not a comprehensive summary of malignancies in PIDDs, or even lymphoproliferative disease in this area, this review summarizes the Medline-indexed published reports of B and T lymphomas in patients with PIDDs. This report highlights the diversity of malignant lymphoproliferative disorders in setting of PIDDs, and its associated challenges of diagnosis and treatment. The pathological classification and nomenclature for the lymphoid malignancies with variably reported and postulated underlying mechanisms were inconsistent and inadequate for many of these published reports. A wide range of treatmen...
