Effects of Stroke Education of Junior High School Students on Stroke Knowledge of Their Parents: Tochigi Project Brief Reports
Conclusions—
Improvement of stroke knowledge immediately after the stroke lesson was observed in parents as well as their children, which indicated that our teaching materials using the Manga was effective in delivering the stroke knowledge to parents through their children.

Predictors of Acute Stroke Mimics in 8187 Patients Referred to a Stroke Service
Conclusions: One third of the patients seen by a stroke team over 10 years had a stroke mimic. Factors associated with a stroke mimic may be ascertained by an emergency physician before calling the stroke team.

Awareness of Risk Factors and Warning Signs of Stroke in a Nigeria University
This study assessed awareness of stroke risk factors and warning signs among students and staff of Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria.Methods: This was a cross sectional survey involving 994 (500 students and 494 staff) respondents. Information on the awareness of stroke risk factors and warning signs was collected with the aid of a structured questionnaire. Stroke Dysbiosis Index (SDI) in Gut Microbiome Are Associated With Brain Injury and Prognosis of Stroke
Conclusions: We developed an index to measure gut microbiota dysbiosis in stroke patients; this index was significantly correlated with patients' outcome and was causally related to outcome in a mouse model of stroke. Our model facilitates the potential clinical application of gut microbiota data in stroke and adds quantitative evidence linking the gut microbiota to stroke.

Influence of Sex on Stroke Prognosis: A Demographic, Clinical, and Molecular Analysis
Conclusion
Our data suggest that women who suffer from IS present with a poorer functional outcome than men at 3-months, regardless of other preclinical and clinical factors during the acute phase. These relationships seem to be mediated by atrial dysfunction and inflammation. The inflammatory response is slightly higher in women; however, there are no sex differences in their functional behavior. There is a probable relationship between the molecular marker of atrial dysfunction NT-proBNP and worse functional outcome in women, and the connection seems to be more important in cardioembolic stroke patients.

Differences Between New Immigrants From the Former Soviet Union and Veteran Residents in Knowledge, Perception, and Risk Factors of Stroke.
CONCLUSIONS: Veteran residents showed lower levels of knowledge about stroke. Educational campaigns aimed at increasing knowledge of stroke among Israel's general population in Israel, as well as culturally targeting specific subgroups, are recommended.

Knowledge of stroke a study from a sex perspective
Conclusions:
Stroke knowledge is suboptimal in both men and women. We detected better knowledge of stroke risk factors in women, as well as differences in the type of risk factors listed by men and women. There were significant sex differences regarding response to stroke or to its warning signs.

On November 3, 2014, I was in nursing school working as a student nurse at a hospital in Seattle. My first sign that something was not quite right was when I was walking through the nursing station and both of my eyes went blurry. I could still see color but I couldn't see letters. Conclusion: Students had a good knowledge of some of the warning signs and risk factors about stroke. Therefore, it is recommended that this subject should be emphasized more in course contents.
