PanAmerican League of Associations for Rheumatology Recommendations for the Treatment of Psoriatic Arthritis
CONCLUSION: Herein, we present a set of recommendations to guide decision-making in treatment of PsA in America, based on the best evidence available, considering resources, medical expertise, and patient's values and preferences. The successful implementation of these recommendations should be based on clinical practice conditions, health care setting on each country, and tailored evaluation of patients.PMID:38561190 | DOI:10.3899/jrheum.2023-1172 (Source: J Rheumatol)

Patients with psoriatic arthritis-related enthesitis are more likely to persist on tofacitinib under real-life conditions
CONCLUSION: In this real-life study, tofacitinib showed a reasonably good retention rate in a PsA population mostly refractory to biologic and oral targeted-synthetic DMARDs. Patients with refractory PsA and enthesitis might be a specific target population for this drug. No new alarm signals emerged.PMID:38561189 | DOI:10.3899/jrheum.2024-0016 (Source: J Rheumatol)

CONCLUSION: Here we present a set of recommendations to guide decision making in the treatment of PsA in Latin America, based on the best evidence available, considering resources, medical expertise, and the patient's values and preferences. The successful implementation of these recommendations should be based on clinical practice conditions, healthcare settings in each country, and a tailored evaluation of patients.PMID:38561190 | DOI:10.3899/jrheum.2023-1172 (Source: Journal of Rheumatology)

Patients With Psoriatic Arthritis-Related Enthesitis and Persistence on Tofacitinib Under Real-World Conditions
CONCLUSION: In this real-world study, TOF showed a reasonably good retention rate in a PsA population that was mostly refractory to biologic and oral targeted synthetic disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs. There were no new causes for concern regarding safety. Patients with refractory PsA and enthesitis might be a specific target population for this drug.PMID:38561189 | DOI:10.3899/jrheum.2024-0016 (Source: Journal of Rheumatology)

Is the patient-perceived impact of psoriatic arthritis a global concept? An international study in 13 Arab countries (TACTIC study)
AbstractThe Psoriatic Arthritis Impact of Disease (PsAID-12) questionnaire, a recommended measure of patient-reported impact for psoriatic arthritis (PsA), was initially developed in Europe and may lack universal validity. Recognizing the need for a culturally appropriate tool for Arab patients, this study aimed to TranslAte, CulTurally adapt, and validate the PsAID in ArabIC (TACTIC). The PsAID-12 was translated into Arabic using a rigorous process of double translation, back-translation, and cognitive debriefing. The Arabic version was then validated through a study conducted in 13 Arab countries in 2022. Participants we...
