Anyone else facing RVU requirement increases? Is this normal?
I'm trying to find some definitive info. on this but last year I was told I need to generate 4900 RVUs annually to meet my base income. This year my employer wants to increase that to 5825 RVUs annually without any change in my pay. My employer is saying that the requirement of 5825 is equivalent to my current 4900 when converting to 2022 CMS wRVU values, so I assume this means if I see the same volume of patients and do the same work as last year, instead of generating 4900, I will... OU-HCOM (Cleveland) vs. NEOMED
Hello, I need help choosing between these two schools and before you instantly write the MD program (NEOMED), I would like you to consider OU-HCOM’s Cleveland campus pros because they are unique for a DO program. I am currently considering pediatric cardiology or pediatric gastroenterology as my most likely choices after medical school. Both have a 3 year IM(pediatric) residency followed by a 3 year fellowship. OU-HCOM (Cleveland) Pros: Partnership with the Cleveland Clinic (second... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Is Peds a viable field in the future?
I know it's on the low end of the pay scale among specialties, but is General Pediatrics viable long-term? How much of a threat are mid-levels? I mean are General Pediatricians (MD) going to be employable long-term ? Appreciate some feedback from those in the field today. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Pediatric residency?
Hi everyone, I am a D2 and am not sure if I should pursue pediatric residency or stick to general dentistry? The thing holding me back right now is my class rank. I am ranked 60% in my class which isn't the best if I am wanting to specialize. I do have an upward trend and hope to continue that going forward. I have a leadership position in my school's aapd club and pre-dental mentorship program. I am also doing research with a pediatric resident at my school. I've done several dental... Advice on how to get Clinical Experience (struggling)
I'm struggling to find clinical jobs in my area, I've done many interviews since October to scribe and unfortunately never get hired. I am a current graduate student and I get told each time that I am not an ideal choice since my class schedule changes every semester and can't commit to certain days for a year since I have school. Currently I have: - Volunteering at a pediatrics unit (i help with toy distributions and patients when they arrive once a week) so I will have around 65 hours by... Peds vs. Med-Peds
I’m an MS3 leaning towards doing a pediatrics residency, but am not sure I want to entirely give up adult medicine so I’ve been growing curious about med-peds as well. My school does a 3rd year research year and I’ve been working solely with kids for the past 6 months which has kinda made me forget what I like about adult medicine—I do want to try and squeeze a med-peds elective early into 4th year but am not sure if this will be feasible. I’d love to hear any advice from current med-peds... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)
