Neoadjuvant Reirradiation for Radiotherapy Associated Angiosarcoma of the Breast
CONCLUSIONS: Our institutional analysis suggests excellent local control and survival outcomes for RAASB treated with surgery, neoadjuvant hyperfractionated reirradiation, and taxol based chemotherapy. However, major wound complications represent a major challenge with this approach. Future studies should consider how best to improve the therapeutic ratio while maintaining high rates of control and survival.PMID:38191096 | DOI:10.1016/j.ijrobp.2023.12.050 (Source: Cancer Control)

Cancers, Vol. 16, Pages 239: Refusal of Adjuvant Therapies and Its Impact on Local Control and Survival in Patients with Bone and Soft Tissue Sarcomas of the Extremities and Trunk
Conclusions: Divergence from the advised treatment modalities significantly impacted overall survival and local recurrence-free survival across both treatment modalities. There is an imperative need for enhanced physician-patient communication. Reducing treatment times, as achieved with hypofractionated radiotherapy and with therapy in a high-volume sarcoma center, might also have a positive effect on complying with the treatment recommendations. Current Standards, Multidisciplinary Approaches, and Future Directions in the Management of Extrahepatic Cholangiocarcinoma
Opinion statementBiliary tract cancers are molecularly and anatomically diverse cancers which include intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma, extrahepatic (perihilar and distal) cholangiocarcinoma, and gallbladder cancer. While recognized as distinct entities, the rarer incidence of these cancers combined with diagnostic challenges in classifying anatomic origin has resulted in clinical trials and guideline recommended strategies being generalized patients with all types of biliary tract cancer. In this review, we delve into the unique aspects, subtype-specific clinical trial outcomes, and multidisciplinary management of patients...
