J Trop Med. 2023 Oct 31;2023:4285042. doi: 10.1155/2023/4285042. eCollection 2023.ABSTRACTThe current study evaluated the inhibitory effect of Moringa oleifera leaves methanolic extract (MOL) against the in vitro growth of Babesia bovis (B. bovis), B. caballi, B. bigemina, and Theileria equi (T. equi), as well as in vivo growth of B. microti in mice. Active principles of MOL extract were determined using liquid chromatography mass spectrometry (LC-MS). MOL's anti-piroplasm efficacy was assessed both in vitro and in vivo using the SYBR Green I fluorescence assay. Every 96 hours, the hematological parameters, including red b...

Isolation and Identification of Endophytic Bacterial Isolates from the Leaves, Roots, and Stems Parts of Artemisia annua, Moringa oleifera, and Ocimum lamiifolium Plants
In conclusion, the present isolates are found to be employed for plant growth promotion and solubilizing insoluble phosphate and zinc. Before this time, most of the recent isolates were not identified from these medicinal plants. The ethyl acetate extract of the isolates also showed inhibitory activity against selected test pathogens.PMID:37930451 | DOI:10.1007/s00284-023-03513-8 (Source: Current Microbiology)

Moringa oleifera leaf meal supplementation improves nutrient digestibility, milk yield, and reproductive performances in dairy cows during early lactation
AbstractThe study aimed to evaluate the effects ofMoringa oleifera leaf meal (MOLM) supplementation on nutrient utilization, milk yield, and reproductive performance of early lactating Sahiwal cows. Control cows (GC) received a basal diet, while the treatment cows (GM) were supplemented with concentrate comprising 12% MOLM. Ovarian activity and uterine involution were monitored by trans-rectal ultrasonography on the 21st, 28th, 35th, and 42nd days postpartum. The result indicated that MOLM-supplemented cows required fewer days (Pā€‰ā‰¤ā€‰0.05) to complete uterine involution. As lactation progresses, there was a significant...

The anticancer potential of chemical constituents of Moringa oleifera targeting CDK-2 inhibition in estrogen receptor positive breast cancer using in-silico and in vitro approches
Most of the breast cancers are estrogen receptor-positive recurring with a steady rate of up to 20 years dysregulating the normal cell cycle. Dinaciclib is still in clinical trials and considered as a research... (Source: BMC Complementary and Alternative Medicine)
