EC (Exempt Perosn) option for IELTS
Hello folks, I was looking into GMC website and found this EC for language requirement i.e exemption from IELTS. Can someone be eligible for EC rights if he or she is from a Non-EU country (Pakistan, USA), married to a British/indefinite leave to remain in UK.? This mean does not have to take the IELTS? I emailed the GMC and they said we can't advice on it. Speak to a lawyer  Chao and thanks (Source: New Media Medicine)

Lawyer to doctor career change, very bad college grades, 2.1 degree - am I insane?
***This message is in reply to the message below which was posted on a thread that we needed to delete, sorry for any confusion! *** Martigan -------------------------------------------- Hi FP If you don't try you'll never know. I was in a similar position to you and attempted the GAMSAT and did well - and now at 34 I have a place at St George's for September. They don't look at GCSEs or A-levels. You have a 2.1 (I have a 2.2) so this should open a lot of doors for you. Why not give the GAMSAT a go and see what happens in the first instance; you may surprise yourself.... Best of luck. IBR/PSLF is a sure thing
So, like many medical students I plan on spending ages going through residency and fellowship, making IBR and PSLF a really good deal. I've had a number of people question whether that program was going to stay around. I thought for political reasons this was an unfounded worry. Apparently I have even less reason to worry according to this article: https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers....act_id=2179625 It is written by a law professor addressing a book that talks about the crisis in legal education. That's not really important to us. What is important is that according to him stuff like IBR is baked into the master prom...

SIAP: Merit Based Scholarships for Pharmacy School?
Hey everyone, I just got done talking with a lawyer friend, and he said that the school where he got his JD offered him a full ride based on academic merit. This wasn't a private scholarship, but the school itself just gave him the money. Do Pharmacy schools do a similar thing, or are we stuck paying full price? Thanks! How to convince the same medical school second time around?
Hi All! My name is Mike and I always wanted to get into med school. My background is Electrical and Biomedical Engineering and I am currently working as an electrical engineer. A year and a half ago I have applied for both med school and law school. Unluckily, med school did not accept me but I got accepted to part-time law school instead. I am on my second year of law school now but I am also trying to get into med school as it was always my biggest interest. If med school continues to not accept me I may end up working as a patent lawyer for medical devices. I am very good in my university biomedical courses and have b...
