The Expression of Markers of Acute Kidney Injury Kim1 and NGAL after Administration of High Doses of Lithium Carbonate in Mice with Engrafted Skin Melanoma B16
The expression of marker proteins of acute kidney injury after administration of high doses of lithium carbonate was assessed to evaluate the possibility of lithium use in neutron capture therapy. In mice with implanted skin melanoma B16, the expression of Kim1 (kidney injury molecule 1) and NGAL (neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin) proteins in the kidneys was evaluated immunohistochemically 15, 30, 90, 180 min, and 7 days after peroral administration of lithium carbonate at single doses of 300 and 400 mg/kg. An increase in the expression of the studied proteins was found in 30 and 90 min after administration of 40...

Talanta. 2024 May 1;276:126177. doi: 10.1016/j.talanta.2024.126177. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTA novel sample double dilution calibration method (SDDCM) and an automatic flow system with in-syringe reaction and spectrophotometric detection were developed for determining lithium in biological samples. The method is based on the reaction of lithium with Thorin in an alkaline medium and the signal was measured at 480 nm. The reaction was performed simultaneously for both standards and samples in three syringes of the automatic flow system. The method was validated and successfully applied to the determination of lithium in...

Zwitterionic Cellulose-based Polymer Electrolyte Enabled by Aqueous Solution Casting for High-performance Solid-state Batteries
Angew Chem Int Ed Engl. 2024 May 7:e202400477. doi: 10.1002/anie.202400477. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTPolyethylene oxide (PEO)-based solid-state batteries hold great promise as the next-generation batteries with high energy density and high safety. However, PEO-based electrolytes encounter certain limitations, including inferior ionic conductivity, low Li+ transference number, and poor mechanical strength. Herein, we aim to simultaneously address these issues by utilizing one-dimensional zwitterionic cellulose nanofiber (ZCNF) as fillers for PEO-based electrolytes using a simple aqueous solution casting method. Multipl...

Constructing Nano ‐Interlayer Inhibiting Interfacial Degradation toward High‐Voltage PEO‐Based All‐Solid‐State Lithium Batteries
In 4.2  V PEO solid-state lithium batteries, gas generation resulting from interface side reactions can lead to the detachment of the active materials and PEO electrolyte, thereby causing a decline in capacity. The LiNb0.6Ti0.5O3 (LNTO) layer is designed effectively stabilizes the lattice oxygen of LiNi0.83Co0.07Mn0.1O2 (NCM83), thereby suppressing interface side reactions and ensuring the stability of the PEO-based solid-state lithium batteries. AbstractThe interfacial instability between PEO-based solid electrolyte (SPE) and high-voltage cathode materials inhibits the longevity of high-energy-density all-solid-state pol...
