E-108 Ruptured intracranial aneurysm presenting as isolated acute subdural hemorrhage
ConclusionIn rare cases, ruptured intracranial aneurysms can be associated with isolated subdural hemorrhage. Common treatment options include endovascular coiling and microsurgical clipping. However, endovascular repair is often preferred especially when the patient may not be able to tolerate a surgical procedure, as was the case with this patient. In this case, the patient presented with stroke-like symptoms and was found to have a subdural hemorrhage. After emergent craniotomy to evacuate the hematoma, successful endovascular coiling was performed, and the patient was stabilized for further management>Disclosures D....

Hair analysis for beta ‐blockers and calcium‐channel blockers by using liquid chromatography‐tandem mass spectrometry as a tool for monitoring adherence to antihypertensive therapy
The present work aimed at verifying the possibility to use liquid chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry to quantitatively determine antihypertensive drugs in the hair of subjects undergoing chronic treatments. The study includes seven beta-blockers (viz., atenolol, bisoprolol, labetalol, metoprolol, sotalol, nebivolol, and nadolol) and two calcium channel blockers (amlodipine and lercanidipine). The practical applicability of the method was also verified by analyzing 34 authentic hair samples collected from subjects under chronic therapy with those cardiovascular drugs. AbstractAdherence to therapy is the key to a ...

A comparative study of intravenous labetalol VS intravenous Nitroglycerin in the treatment of hypertensive crises
Indian Heart J. 2022 Jun 3:S0019-4832(22)00097-9. doi: 10.1016/j.ihj.2022.06.001. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTHypertensive crises is still a major public health problem, causing end organ damage like myocardial infarction, stroke, and renal failure. Labetalol and nitroglycerine are among the two most commonly used medicine to control the blood pressure, but there is no head to head comparison between these two medicines. This was a prospective randomized non-blinded study which included 50 patients of hypertensive crises, out which 25 patients received intravenous labetalol and 25 patients received intravenous nitroglyce...
