An epidemiological study of the determinants and patterns of complementary feeding practices among children of 6-24 months of age group
CONCLUSION: There was no statistically significant difference between the feeding patterns of normal and malnourished children. The association of complementary feeding practices and the anthropometric status of study children was not found statistically significant in the present study. Advice on complementary feeding from healthcare workers is seen to be having a positive impact on complementary feeding practices (P < 0.01).PMID:38605794 | PMC:PMC11006051 | DOI:10.4103/jfmpc.jfmpc_1389_23 (Source: Primary Care)

APRI as a predictor of severe dengue fever
CONCLUSION: APRI is a straightforward index that can be easily derived from AST and platelet values. APRI values of >3.2 can predict severe dengue with a sensitivity of 69.2 and a specificity of 84.2. APRI values of >3.2 are also associated with the length of hospital stay and requirement of platelet transfusion.PMID:38605798 | PMC:PMC11006074 | DOI:10.4103/jfmpc.jfmpc_1127_23 (Source: Primary Care)

Segmentation and classification of lungs CT-scan for detecting COVID-19 abnormalities by deep learning technique: U-Net model
CONCLUSION: We designed a DL-based model for the segmentation of COVID-19 CT scan images and, based on this model, constructed a web-based application that, according to the results, is a reliable detector for infected tissue in lung CT-scans. The availability of such tools would aid in automating, prioritizing, fastening, and broadening the treatment of COVID-19 patients globally.PMID:38605799 | PMC:PMC11006039 | DOI:10.4103/jfmpc.jfmpc_695_23 (Source: Primary Care)
