The Incidence of Binocular Visual Impairment and Blindness in Children with Bilateral Retinoblastoma
Conclusions: The rates of visual impairment and blindness reported in this paper can be used to counsel families regarding the risk of binocular visual impairment. Early detection and support for visually impaired infants are essential as development can be affected by severe visual impairment.Ocul Oncol Pathol (Source: Ocular Oncology and Pathology)

The University of California, San Francisco Documentation System for Retinoblastoma: Preparing to Improve Staging Methods for This Disease
Conclusion: Our methods for documenting individual retinoblastomas have facilitated the review of patients ’ progress in our routine practice and may provide data that could be used to refine retinoblastoma classifications in the future.Ocul Oncol Pathol (Source: Ocular Oncology and Pathology)

Integrated Treatment during the Intravitreal Melphalan Era: Concurrent Intravitreal Melphalan and Systemic Chemoreduction
Conclusion: The concurrent chemoreduction and IVM protocol demonstrated a similar efficacy of globe salvage while sparing children additional EUAs. However, the increased rates of observed melphalan-related toxicities for concurrent therapy are concerning. Further clinical experience is necessary to define the best initiation time and dosing schedule for IVM.Ocul Oncol Pathol (Source: Ocular Oncology and Pathology)

Surface-Coil MRI for Small Peripheral Choroidal Melanoma: Imaging in a Rabbit Eye Model
Conclusions: MRI of small peripheral choroidal melanomas is feasible in a rabbit model using surface coils, particularly in T1-weighted sequences. Findings may be used as a basis for further development of this technique for experimental and clinical applications.Ocul Oncol Pathol (Source: Ocular Oncology and Pathology)

Trends in Radiation Practices for Female Ocular Oncologists in North America: A Collaborative Study of the International Society of Ocular Oncology
Conclusion: This study corroborates prior literature that surgeons ’ exposure to radiation during plaque brachytherapy is minimal. Nonetheless, there remains some anxiety regarding exposure risk to women, due to potential effects on fertility and fetal health. We found variability in exposure monitoring, required training, and precautions during pregnancy amongst this group of surgeons. Improved education and clearer pregnancy guidelines may equip female ocular oncologists with optimal knowledge regarding risk of radiation exposure.Ocul Oncol Pathol (Source: Ocular Oncology and Pathology)

The Use of Intravitreal Anti-VEGF and Triamcinolone in the Treatment of Radiation Papillopathy
Conclusions: In this series, patients who had a precipitous drop in VA at the time of diagnosis of radiation papillopathy returned to baseline VA following this treatment algorithm. This protocol was effective at maintaining stability of VA in 80% of those who developed papillopathy but did not present with an acute drop in VA.Ocul Oncol Pathol (Source: Ocular Oncology and Pathology)

Beneath the Retinal Pigment Epithelium: Histopathologic Findings in Metastatic Extranodal Natural Killer/T-Cell Lymphoma, Nasal Type
Conclusion: Patients diagnosed with ENKTCL should be evaluated by an ophthalmologist, as ophthalmic involvement portends a poor prognosis.Ocul Oncol Pathol (Source: Ocular Oncology and Pathology)

Successful Total Resection of an Orbital Epithelioid Hemangioendothelioma with the Aid of Endovascular Embolization
We present a patient with a growing orbital mass for whom surgical excision was planned. Two previous attempts at removing the mass failed due to profuse bleeding. Endovascular embolization was performed before surgery to prevent massive hemorrhage. After embolization, retinal vascular accident (combined central retinal artery and vein occlusion) occurred. However, surgical excision (lateral orbitotomy and transcoronal craniotomy) was successful, and the vision improved postoperatively. Histopathologic examination and immunohistochemistry study confirmed the diagnosis of epithelioid hemangioendothelioma. The combined appro...

Myeloid Sarcoma with Megakaryoblastic Differentiation Arising in the Conjunctiva
An 87-year-old woman not known to have either a lymphoma or leukemia developed a left multinodular, fish-flesh superior epibulbar and forniceal mass. A biopsy disclosed a blastic tumor with scattered multinucleated immature megakaryoblasts. Immunophenotyping of bone marrow cells revealed strong positivity for CD7, CD31, CD43, CD45, CD61, and CD117; CD71, myeloperoxidase, and lysozyme were also positive in scattered cells. Forty percent of the neoplastic cells were Ki-67 positive. Cytogenetic studies indicated a trisomy 8 (associated with worse prognosis) and a t(12; 17) translocation. Desmin, smooth muscle actin, pancytoke...

Benign Solitary Fibrous Histiocytoma of Xanthomatous Subtype of the Perilimbal Conjunctiva and Adjacent Sclera in a Youth
Conclusion: A lesion comprised of numerous homogeneous foamy histiocytes without multinucleated giant cells in the perilimbal conjunctiva and adjacent sclera of a youth is presented as a unique case of a rare variant of fibrous histiocytoma of the xanthomatous subtype.Ocul Oncol Pathol (Source: Ocular Oncology and Pathology)

Sporadic Burkitt Lymphoma with Orbital Extramedullary Infiltration
Conclusion: Despite an aggressive presentation, cure is common with appropriate, intensive treatment. To our knowledge, this report is the first to photographically depict the resolution of extramedullary orbital subperiosteal leukemic infiltrates after appropriate chemotherapy.Ocul Oncol Pathol (Source: Ocular Oncology and Pathology)

Aggressive Ciliary Body Adenocarcinoma with Bilateral Lung Metastases: Histological, Molecular, Genetic and Clinical Aspects
Conclusions: To our knowledge, this is the first case of ciliary body adenocarcinoma with bilateral lung metastases. The malignant potential of these tumours should be considered as a possibility, and appropriate screening and staging tests should therefore be considered to guide appropriate management.Ocul Oncol Pathol (Source: Ocular Oncology and Pathology)

Outcomes of Glaucoma Drainage Device Surgery in Eyes with Treated Uveal Melanoma
Conclusions: Our case series with a median follow-up of 2 years shows that placing a GDD in patients with treated uveal melanoma does not expose patients to greater risk of local or extraocular recurrence. A larger series and longer follow-up time are required to fully evaluate the safety of GDDs in this clinical scenario.Ocul Oncol Pathol (Source: Ocular Oncology and Pathology)

Multifocal Primary Uveal Melanoma: Clinical and Molecular Characteristics
We report two patients who developed a second distinct choroidal melanoma in the same eye following successful regression of their first choroidal melanoma after iodine-125 plaque brachytherapy. Neither patient demonstrated ocular melanocytosis, local tumor recurrence, or vitreous seeding. One patient had the second tumor arising from a previously documented choroidal nevus, and after undergoing enucleation, there was no detectable connection between the tumors on histopathologic examination. GermlineBAP1 mutation was absent in both cases. Multifocal primary uveal melanoma is a rare entity in which the second tumor may occ...
