Primary Cutaneous Follicle Center Lymphoma of the Eyelid: A Case Report and Review of the Literature in Light of Recent Changes to the WHO Classification of Lymphoid Neoplasms
Primary cutaneous follicle center lymphoma (PCFCL) is a unique entity that represents up to 11% of all cutaneous lymphomas. PCFCL is associated with an indolent course and excellent 5-year survival rates, but can progress to secondary systemic involvement if left untreated. Histopathologic features of PCFCL can vary depending on the size, duration, and clinical stage of the lesion, making diagnosis somewhat challenging. Here, we present a case of a 50-year-old woman with an eyelid lesion that was initially classified as an inflamed cyst based on biopsy, but 1 year later, was determined to be PCFCL after repeat biopsy revea...

Primary Intra-Arterial Chemotherapy for Retinoblastoma in the Intravitreal Chemotherapy Era: Five Years of Experience
Conclusions: IAC is effective as primary therapy for unilateral group B, C, D, and E retinoblastoma. IvitC is an important adjuvant therapy to achieve comparable globe salvage rates for group D and E eyes with persistent active vitreous seeds.Ocul Oncol Pathol (Source: Ocular Oncology and Pathology)

Metastatic Cutaneous Melanoma Presenting with Choroidal Metastasis Simulating Primary Uveal Melanoma
Conclusions: Metastatic cutaneous melanoma to the orbit or globe occurs rarely. Tumor genetic testing may help differentiate metastatic cutaneous melanoma from primary uveal melanoma in cases where the diagnosis is uncertain, and can also inform therapy and prognostic counseling.Ocul Oncol Pathol (Source: Ocular Oncology and Pathology)

Extraskeletal Osteosarcoma: A Rare Case Arising in Phthisis Bulbi with a Review of the Literature
A 60-year-old male presented with an increasingly painful and swollen phthisical eye. Enucleation revealed a large mass obliterating the eye with extension into the adjacent extraocular muscle. Histologic examination showed high-grade osteosarcoma. Systemic work-up showed no disease elsewhere, and a diagnosis of orbital extraskeletal osteosarcoma was rendered. Complete resection was not possible, and neoadjuvant radiation was given. The patient subsequently developed pulmonary metastasis and died of disease 5 months after initial diagnosis. Given the highly aggressive nature of this malignancy, raising awareness that extra...

Surgical Cystotomy of a Large Iris Pigment Epithelial Cyst with Microinstrumentation
Conclusion: Surgical cystotomy with microinstrumentation may be an effective tool for management of primary iris pigment epithelial cysts, especially as an alternative after needle aspiration fails.Ocul Oncol Pathol (Source: Ocular Oncology and Pathology)

Atypical Case of Rosai-Dorfman Disease of the Lacrimal Gland with Adjacent Bone Erosion
Conclusion: RDD is an important diagnosis that must be considered in the differential diagnosis of an orbital mass.Ocul Oncol Pathol (Source: Ocular Oncology and Pathology)

Evidence of Tumour Microenvironment and Stromal Cellular Components in Retinoblastoma
Conclusions: The findings of the study convincingly suggest the presence of a stromal component in RB tumours. The interactions between stromal cells and tumour cells might be of profound importance in RB progression.Ocul Oncol Pathol (Source: Ocular Oncology and Pathology)

Ocular Surface Squamous Neoplasia with Intraocular Extension: Clinical and Ultrasound Biomicroscopic Findings
Conclusions: Use of UBM in high-risk OSSN cases may help pick up IO invasion. Tumors that are at high risk for IO invasion are thick nodular tumors (#x3e; 5 mm), tumors with nodular or ulcerative morphology, and those with prior surgical intervention.Ocul Oncol Pathol (Source: Ocular Oncology and Pathology)

Anterior Segment Optical Coherence Tomography of Ocular Cystinosis Confirmed by Electron Microscopy
Conclusion: To our knowledge, this is the first reported case of ocular cystinosis involving strictly the epithelial layer of the cornea that has been imaged by AS-OCT.Ocul Oncol Pathol (Source: Ocular Oncology and Pathology)

Periocular Histiocytoid Carcinoma: Potential Diagnostic Challenges
Cutaneous histiocytoid carcinoma can occur as a primary tumor of the periocular region. Morphologically similar histiocytoid carcinomas arising as primary tumors of the breast have a predilection for orbital metastases. They can occasionally contain regions with prominent vacuolated cytoplasm and minimal nuclear atypia, which mimic benign histiocytic lesions. Differentiating nonneoplastic, primary neoplastic, and metastatic histiocytoid lesions involving the periorbita can be challenging for both the clinician and the pathologist, and this distinction has management implications. Herein, we present 3 cases to illustrate th...

Choroidal Mucinous Metastatic Adenocarcinoma from the Colon: A Diagnostic Challenge
An enucleated globe was submitted from an outside hospital to the Ophthalmic Pathology Laboratory for evaluation. There was a minimal amount of accompanying clinical history. Histopathologic examination revealed a mucinous adenocarcinoma of the choroid. The determination of the origin of the tumor proved to be challenging based on the lack of a definitive systemic diagnosis. Initial suspicions that the tumor may represent a breast carcinoma were disproved when immunohistochemical biomarkers for breast carcinoma were negative. Similarly, typical markers of colon adenocarcinoma were not expressed. Positive immunostaining wit...

Long Survival and Preservation of Good Visual Acuity in a Patient with Bilateral Diffuse Uveal Melanocytic Proliferation
Conclusion: This case illustrates that prolonged survival and preservation of useful visual acuity is possible in BDUMP. Cataract surgery should be considered in selected patients, and depigmentation of the lesions may occur during long-term follow-up.Ocul Oncol Pathol (Source: Ocular Oncology and Pathology)
