The mandible is the most common location, usually as a complication associated with osteomyelitis, medication-related osteonecrosis or osteoradionecrosis. Clear Cell Odontogenic Carcinoma: A Rare JAW Tumor —A Case Report and Literature Review
This article describes the presentation of an aymptomatic, painless swelling in the lower jaw of a 63 yrs old female, who was initially diagnosed as an ameloblastoma, taken up for segmental resection, subsequently histopathologically diagnosed as a case of clear cell odontogenic carcinoma and later managed with chemotherapy. Sialendoscopic Management and Gland Preservation in an Unusual Case of Extensive Submandibular Sialolithiasis
AbstractSialolthiasis is one of the most common benign pathologies of the salivary glands. It is associated with frequent bacterial infections and significant discomfort. Large&/or multiple stones are traditionally treated by ductal marsupialisation or gland excision. Sialendoscopy, a relatively new minimally invasive technique is a useful technique which can preserve a functioning gland and reduce postoperative morbidity.
