Pure Laparoscopic Versus Robotic Liver Resections: Multicentric Propensity Score Based Analysis With Stratification According To Difficulty Scores
ConclusionRALR does not show operative nor clinically significant benefits over LLR for low and intermediate difficulty resections. By reducing conversion rates, RALR can favour the operative feasibility of difficult resections possibly extending the indications of minimally-invasive approaches for liver resection. Novel troubleshooting technique for the migration of a biliary plastic stent using a thin balloon catheter (with video)
AbstractPlastic stents (PSs) are commonly used to for obstructive jaundice (1, 2), but there are difficulties associated with removing migrated PSs. (3-5)A 75-year-old woman presented with obstructive jaundice due to hilar cholangiocarcinoma, and two PSs were inserted. After two years, re-intervention for the occlusion of PSs was performed. ConclusionsEASL has acceptable clinical outcomes with a low reintervention rate but higher rate of postprocedural pancreatitis in patients with non-pancreatic cancers. Randomized trials comparing EASL and conventional EUS-BD for MDBO with pancreatic cancers and DO/SAA after failed ERCP are needed to validate our findings. An Unusual cause of Right Upper Quadrant Pain
AbstractA 63 year ‐old lady with history of constipation and two documented episodes of epiploic appendagitis was seen for chronic right upper quadrant discomfort which was not associated with nausea, vomiting, fever, food intake or physical activity. Physical exam and laboratory parameters were unrevealing. A CT s can of the abdomen was normal except for a cystic lesion in segment IVA of the liver.
