A novel prognostic model based on AFP, tumor burden score and Albumin-Bilirubin grade for patients with hepatocellular carcinoma undergoing radiofrequency ablation
CONCLUSION: The ATA/AT score, derived from clinical and objective laboratory variables, can assist in individually predicting the prognosis of HCC patients undergoing curative RFA.PMID:37733400 | DOI:10.1080/02656736.2023.2256498 (Source: International Journal of Hyperthermia)

Experimental study of HIFU incomplete ablation on the damage effect and prognosis of rabbit VX2 breast cancer model
CONCLUSIONS: HIFU incomplete ablation, with an 80% tumor ablation rate, induces substantial tumor damage, augments tumor cell apoptosis, and triggers an anti-tumor immune response, curtailing metastasis. These insights may underpin further investigations into the therapeutic implications of HIFU incomplete ablation.PMID:37726101 | DOI:10.1080/02656736.2023.2255760 (Source: International Journal of Hyperthermia)

Ultrasound-guided microwave ablation for tertiary hyperparathyroidism in patients with renal transplantation
CONCLUSION: Ultrasound-guided MWA shows potential as a viable treatment for THPT in RT patients. However, further studies are required to confirm its safety and effectiveness in larger cohorts of longer duration.PMID:37710400 | DOI:10.1080/02656736.2023.2256497 (Source: International Journal of Hyperthermia)

Computational modeling of microwave ablation with thermal accelerants
CONCLUSION: Computational models of MWA with thermal accelerants provide insight into the impact of accelerant on MWA, and with further development, could predict ablations with a variety of gel injection sites.PMID:37710404 | DOI:10.1080/02656736.2023.2255755 (Source: International Journal of Hyperthermia)

Comparison of menstruation recovery after ultrasound-guided suction curettage in patients with cesarean scar pregnancy pretreated using high-intensity focused ultrasound and uterine artery embolization
CONCLUSION: Compared to UAE, HIFU has less influence on postoperative MBL volume, which may be a fertility-sparing option for patients with CSP.PMID:37698065 | DOI:10.1080/02656736.2023.2241686 (Source: International Journal of Hyperthermia)
