CONCLUSIONS: This systematic review provides convincing evidence of efficacy of gonadotropins for pubertal induction. However, there remains substantial heterogeneity in treatment choice, dose, duration, and outcomes assessed. Patients' perspective on the medical pathway from first symptoms to diagnosis in genetic lipodystrophy
CONCLUSIONS: Diagnostic pathway in patients with genetic lipodystrophy is rendered difficult by the multisystemic features of the disease and the lack of knowledge of non-specialized physicians. Breast cancer risk association with postmenopausal hormone therapy: Health Insurance Database in South Korea (HISK)-based cohort study
CONCLUSION: This study suggests that the risk of breast cancer is increased by drugs in the CEPM group but not by tibolone, oral estrogen, CEPP, or topical estrogen. Spleen function is reduced in individuals with NR5A1 variants with or without DSD: a cross-sectional study
CONCLUSIONS: Individuals harbouring a heterozygous NR5A1 variant that may cause DSD have a considerable risk for functional hyposplenism, irrespective of their gonadal phenotype. Splenic function should be assessed in these individuals, and if affected or unknown, prophylaxis is recommended to prevent invasive encapsulated bacterial infections. Prolonged adrenal insufficiency following discontinuation of Osilodrostat treatment for intense hypercortisolism
We report two additional cases of persistent prolonged adrenal insufficiency after discontinuation of osilodrostat treatment for intense hypercortisolism due to Cushing's disease and ectopic ACTH syndrome. In addition, we show for that adrenal insufficiency in these patients was associated with low/normal 11-deoxycortisol concentrations despite high plasma ACTH concentrations. These results suggest that CYP11B1 is not the only target of osilodrostat and that, in vivo, osilodrostat has other prolonged and strong inhibitory effect on adrenal steroidogenesis upstream of CYP11B1. CONCLUSION: Alongside lower BMD at multiple sites, the femora of women with POI demonstrate reduced strength and a misalignment with forces transmitted from the upper body.
