Flavonoids from the Whole Herb of Astragalus rigidulus
A new flavonoid derivative, namely astriginoside A (1), was isolated from the whole plant ofAstragalus rigidulus Bunge, together with 19 known ones (2 –20). Their structures were determined by spectroscopic methods, including 1D and 2D NMR, UV, IR, and HR-ESI-MS, and comparison of the spectroscopic data with those reported in the literature. Solid-Phase Phosphorylation of Polysaccharides by Phosphorus Pentoxide
Phosphorylated derivatives of polysaccharides (PSs) such as water-soluble starch, carboxymethylcellulose, apple pectin, poly(galacturonic acid), alginic acid, poly(mannuronic acid), poly(guluronic acid), chitosan, and arabinogalactan were prepared under mild conditions by solid-phase reactions with P2O5. The phosphorylation reactions featured formation of various types of fragments from mono- and disubstituted monophosphates to disubstituted polyphosphates in the PS phosphates. Proteins from the Aerial Part of Delphinium leptocarpum and Their Biological Activity
The quantitative protein content ofDelphinium leptocarpum was 17.2%. Proteins, the amino-acid compositions of which featured high contents of leucine, cysteine, and aspartic and glutamic acids, were detected in the aqueous layer after extracting alkaloids from it. Chemical investigation of the marine-derived fungusEpicoccum sorghinum GXIMD02001 has led to the isolation of a new compound, 3-chloro-2,5-dihydroxybenzyl acetate (1), together with three known compounds, 3-chlorogentisyl alcohol (2), 2-chloro-6-(methoxymethyl)benzene-1,4-diol (3), and (R)-mevalonolactone (4).
