Herpes Zoster Chorioretinopathy: A Case Series
CONCLUSIONS: Our series suggests that herpetic chorioretinopathy may be a relatively benign process that presents late and may involve large areas of the posterior choroid.PMID:38639557 | DOI:10.1080/09273948.2024.2338271 (Source: Herpes)

Secondary syphilis presenting with alopecia and leukoderma in a stable HIV-positive patient in a resource-limited setting: a case report
CONCLUSION: This case demonstrates the importance of a high index of clinical suspicion and testing for syphilis in patients presenting with atypical clinical features of secondary syphilis, such as hair loss and hypopigmentation. It also highlights the challenges in diagnosing and clinically managing syphilis in a resource-limited setting.PMID:38561779 | DOI:10.1186/s12981-024-00603-w (Source: AIDS Research and Therapy)

30. Comparison of Signs & Symptoms among Pediatric Patients with Lichen Sclerosis (LS) & Vitiligo: Preliminary Findings from an Interdisciplinary Vulvar Dermatology Clinic
Differentiating pediatric vulvar lichen sclerosis versus vitiligo is a clinical challenge. For both conditions, patients often have a delayed or initial misdiagnosis. Both conditions classically present with hypopigmentation, while LS is more likely to present with symptoms such as pruritus, bleeding, and pain. We aim to add to the existing literature by comparing signs and symptoms in a cohort of patients with either conditions. (Source: Journal of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology)

Smart Use of Skin Biopsy Punch in Treating Keloids: A Single-Center Retrospective Study
ConclusionsThis study demonstrated BPCI might be an effective and safe therapy in keloids with a low long-time recurrence rate and well tolerance for patients.Level of Evidence IVThis journal requires that authors assign a level of evidence to each article. Co2 LASER Therapy as an Option for Non-Healing Surgical Wounds after Radiation Therapy —A Retrospective Study
ConclusionCO2 LASER therapy speeds up the healing process with minimal discomfort to the patient. CO2 LASER therapy can be used as an alternative for non-healing  surgical wounds after salvage surgery in previously radiated  patients with an unhealthy wound bed where split-thickness skin graft uptake is unpredictable. PIDASI and PIHASI: Scoring tools for assessment of postinflammatory hyperpigmentation
To the Editor: Postinflammatory dyspigmentation (PID) encompasses both hyperpigmentation and hypopigmentation.1 The Investigator's Global Assessment (IGA) is commonly used to measure the severity of skin changes from inflammatory diseases; however, it has no specific dyspigmentation variable.2 Recently, the Postinflammatory Dyspigmentation Area and Severity Index (PIDASI) was developed to assess the severity of postinflammatory dyspigmentation; however, it allows for only 1 pigmentation score regardless of the heterogeneity of pigmentation. Full-face and neck resurfacing with a novel ablative fractional 2910  nm erbium-doped fluoride glass fiber laser for advanced photoaging
CONCLUSIONS: Treatment with the novel 2910 nm fiber laser is safe and effective in treating advanced photoaging and rhytides. Three treatments produced moderate to marked improvement with high patient satisfaction and treatment was associated with less discomfort and downtime compared to conventional fractional ablative lasers.PMID:38353284 | DOI:10.1002/lsm.23764 (Source: Pain Physician)
