1195 How is hypopigmentation formed in psoriasis lesions?
Background: Pigmentation or depigmentation arises after psoriatic lesion subsides. Objective: It is not clear whether melanocyte function is maintained in psoriasis, and how melanin migration to keratinocytes is affected, and we will discuss the behavior of melanocytein psoriasis lesions. Method: Fontana-masson staining, melan A staining and electron microscopy was used to observe melanin or malanocytes in human psoriasis. Additionally, we crossed K5.Stat3C mice (psoriasis model mice) with K14-SCF mice, which have melanocyte in their interfollicular epidermis. (Source: Journal of Investigative Dermatology)
