Anyone else like me?
Current first year medical student. I believe I have a different way of studying and retaining material and was wondering if it will be conducive come time for board prep. At my school, we usually have exams every two weeks. The only resource needed to do well on these exams is reviewing the lecture slides. Most of my classmates take notes or some variation of this while studying for exams. What I do is literally just look at the slides until I memorize them. That is all. No notes or... Taking pre-med classes at two different schools
Hello, I graduated with a bachelor's in a non-medical field from Cal State Northridge and am looking to take my pre-med classes now. I am located in LA and have looked into USC and LMU post bacc, but both are too expensive for me. Would med schools look down on me splitting some of my pre-med classes at both UCLA Extension and Cal State Northridge? Would it be better to simply pick one of the two and take them all there or does it really make no difference? I've heard that I should stick... I'm curious about this since, there is program that i want to apply to and I can apply this year if i want to but there are couple classes that i can retake and maybe do more volunteers etc but that would take me another year. so if it doesn't hurt me to re-apply ( just in case if i don't get in.) then i would apply right now, and if i get rejected then i would definitely brush up those thing and apply it again. but if it lowers my chance of getting in for re-applying then i would just wait... question) re-applying to same dpt program would lower my chance of getting in compared to people who (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Research dilemma
I need some advice about a research-related dilemma. My short-term goal with research is to create evidence that the potential benefit to society of letting me become a physician who does clinical research on the side is significant enough to admit me into medical school, despite my less than stellar stats. How long does an MCAT score last at most schools?
I understand schools generally accept scores up to 2-3 years old. Have you encountered more schools that take MCATs up to 2 versus 3 years, or is it more of a 50/50?
