Letter of Recommendation advice please??
Okay so last semester I studied abroad and interned at mental health outpatient facility for individuals with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and unspecified personality disorders. It was a really great experience and my supervisor really really liked me. I asked him to write me a letter of recommendation for an REU this summer and he agreed. I emailed him about it on like December 25th, just sending him my resume, my research interests, transcript, and link to submit the letter; however,... Letter of Recommendation advice please?? NBME 3 point score of 163, roughly 4 months until step 1 - How to improve?
Hi I just took an NBME and got a 163 3-point score. Minimal studying was done in preparation for this practice NBME. Is this score horrible? My exam is approximately 4 months away, and I am willing to use/purchase any available resource to help me improve. We are still learning new material, though we are on our last module. What would people who took the exam recommend to do pre-dedicated to help boost my scores? Thank you very much for all suggestions (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Scared of labs in undergrad
I'm gonna take a Genetics lab this semester but reading the manual makes me scared. There are a lot of things to remember and we're dealing with flies and worms, and it's easy to kill or let them loose on accident, which would result in failure. I've always had a hate of labs because I'm always afraid of messing up. "Failure is part of it!" Yes, but failure in my lab experiences often led to failing grades. I haven't failed a lab course, but I have failed individual labs because of mistakes... Scared of labs in undergrad (Source: Student Doctor Network)

So I'm trying to decide whether to apply this cycle or whether I should wait for an extra year to add some more volunteering and other ECs which I'm pretty light on and not sure I can really boost enough in time for this cycle. Letting a school know you're their top choice at interview?
Hey everyone, I have an interview coming up at my undisputed top choice pre-interview. I was debating on whether I should mention it to them at the interview. Something along the lines of "I just want to make it clear that if I were to be fortunate enough to be offered admission here, I would definitely attend".
