Controlled Substances Pickup ID Requirements
Hi, I am not sure for what is allowed or not allowed with regards to controlled substances pick up. In CA, my understanding is the requirement is a government-issued identification card (either Driver's License or Passport). What if the ID card is EXPIRED? I can see from both sides of the argument. I've talked about with it coworkers but there still no consensus so I'm coming onto SDN to see if I can get better answers. One side would say the ID is valid because the... A sophomore lookin for some advice
Hey guys!! So I'm currently about to be a second semester sophomore, and I'm kinda examining where I'm at right now and trying to improve. I did fairly ish decent freshman year, getting a 3.6, but I majorly put in the work this semester, and got a 3.8. I hope to continue this upward trend, and I definitely learned to improve my study habits as well, which is good, haha. However, I'm just a bit worried about my extracurriculars. Heres what I do: 1. Happy Holidays! I am writing with a quick question. I read that sometimes students need cosigners to get student loans. Is that the case for government loans as well or only private loans? Metrics Massaging
New York Times finally wrote an article on how hospitals massage metrics. While it's focused on the VA, we all know this brand of administrative medicine is practiced widely. I laud our colleagues at this VA for actually doing something about the injustice most of us only complain about. Most entertaining is Shulkin's response. I wonder if he knew how the article would be framed? Or did he think it would be another piece by David Philipps about how he is an amazingly "in-touch" VA... PhD after MD - quitting job, prerequisite advice
Hi all, Seeking application advice or thoughts on prereqs required for recent PhD grad seeking an MD. A bit of background: I did a PhD in Neuro straight out of undergrad (Top 10 school - 3.2 GPA). In the song Crazy Lucky, Better Than Ezra's Kevin Griffin sings, "There are so many reasons that we shouldn't have met/I could've turned right when you turned left".
