I have decided to delay my application until next year, what should I be doing right now?
Well, as the title states, I'll be applying next year. I'm a non-traditional applicant and I was going to take my MCAT late June/early July, but life happens and I will have to put it off until next year. What should I be doing right now? I have all prerequisites done, I can get LORs from 4 ER physicians (2 DO, 2 MD) that I work with. I think I should maybe look for some shadowing opportunities because I only have ER scribing hours (around 1000 hours) and possibly some volunteering as well.... Accepted to Matriculant
Hey everyone, So i am using MSAR to make my school list and have a question about the relationship between the number of students that are accepted vs those that actually matriculated. For example Emory has 98 OOS matriculants but is it safe to assume that they had to accept 2 times that amount to fill that many spots? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Step 1 score for different anesthesia programs
Hi, I realize that there is ample data out there on step 1 score needed for anesthesia, but what I struggle to locate is data based on specific programs or tier of programs (i.e. score needed for top tier programs like Penn, MGH, Duke vs mid-tier and low-tier programs). To be competitive for the top tier programs, is a 240+ step 1 score essential? There seems to be a wide range of scores of successful matches. MSBS at Mount Sinai - outcome?
Hi all, does anyone know what med schools students who attend the MSBS program at Mount Sinai get accepted to? I see that they have a very high acceptance rate, but I couldn't find any info on what schools they get into. Also, has anyone attended this program? I'd love to hear anything about the program. I'm very drawn by research-focused curriculum. My only worry is that an SMP might be more beneficial for me, but I need to hear more about the MSBS program. Thanks! (Source: Student Doctor Network)

However, when I get asked pimp questions, I'm typically only able to get 50-60% correct, which is very frustrating because I'm constantly reading and have been since way before the rotation even started.
