ergonomic chair
Has anyone developed back issues from working/studying long hours? We all know dentistry is pretty rough on the back. Coupled with long hours of studying, I am slightly worried about my lower back. Does anyone have good office desk/chair recommendations? I currently have a swivel adjustable computer chair at home and it is NOT good for use for the long term. I have to sit all the way back into the chair for my back to even touch the chair. And when I study, I tend to sit at the edge of... ergonomic chair (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Mistakes at work!
I don’t know where to post on here lol!! Basically.. I was doing reception the other day and a assistant forgot to put a label on one of the meds (I think it was animax). The waiting room was busy and the other receptionist took the chart from the assistant to bill the clients out. The assistant said she had something else to do and asked me to make the label. I took a look at the chart and I went to make the label and it already had pre typed instructions (in the computer) and it was the... Mistakes at work! (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Computer Science Major Changing Careers Low GPA
Hello, I am a 24 year old software engineer with 3 years of experience. I am interested in applying to Dental School. I studied computer science and had a GPA of 2.4...terrible. I sucked at CS classes. However, none of those grades come from Science classes or Dental School pre-reqs. If I went back to university and aced all my pre-reqs and the DAT, do I even have a chance?! How big were the screens of the computers at the MCAT testing center
Probably depends on the testing center but I personally like to zoom out to where I can see most of the passage without scrolling (will we be able to do this?). I think this saves me some time and I've been cutting it pretty close on some of the sections (I hate you CARS) so I'm wondering if I should practice with the page zoomed in which would result in a more realistic simulation. Is (almost) every single application reviewed by an adcom?
Unless the computer screens something like MCAT less than 500, Im amazed at how a school can review anything from 5000-12000 applications in just a matter of weeks! What do they spend the most time on? PS? Transcripts? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Engineer to Postbacc premed questions
Hi, I am 3 years out of college with an BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering and gpa of 3.15. Taken Chem I, and Calculus I and II. Over the past three years, I've been getting a pull towards medicine. It started my senior year of college with wanting my Wilderness First Aide (WFA) certification to make sure my friends felt safe when going on backpacking and rock climbing trips. I felt responsible to be this role but never questioned why until this year. After taking the course, I ended... Engineer to Postbacc premed questions (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Good-Bye
SDN As I get ready to retire in the next few minutes, I don't want to get into a Flame war with those on SDN. Posting this will be my last act on the way to IT to turn in this computer. Here is what I tell anyone who reads (and takes seriously) what some of the old curmudgeons on SDN post. In the Army we have about 1200 HPSP medical students. It's my guess that it is about the same for the other two Services (Air Force and Navy). So, conservatively, you are looking at 3600 medical students... Good-Bye (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Dear CVS computer overlords...
...please stop doing your stupid hotfixes at 1045pm and 640am every day. Literally every day this week you've done this, I've had someone in line waiting to pick up. I have to stand there like a useless idiot because your stupid numbered bin system doesn't work while in offline mode. I know, it's only 5 minutes, but you aren't the ones standing between a man and his sildenafil on a Saturday night. Get your **** together guys. Please. (Source: Student Doctor Network)
