My Pre-dental Journey: Not the ideal applicant
I wanted to share my path to dental school having been accepted to my top choice and give some hope to other applicants who feel like their application has holes everywhere. I will try to keep this as short and succinct as possible and leave out schools for sake of anonymity. 1) My major/minor: I majored in computer science and minored in mathematics. 2) My GPA/Grades: I ended with a 3.6 science and overall GPA which was the average GPA at my top choice school. I had four 2 C's and 2 C+'s... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Any of you have people fired for not following COVID protocol?
I saw a rant on facebook on one of the pharmacy pages that talked about a hospital pharmacist not following protocol, not wearing mask, coming to work with a fever- and low and behold he got covid. I am curious how many people have seen people let go due to similar issues? I know of one person who did, came to work sick, lied about travel, and didn't follow protocol of only using one computer for their shift. I have a feeling canning one person would get a department in line. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Goldman Sachs Internship Vs. Research Junior Summer
Hey, this is a throwaway account and I am in no means trying to brag, I'm just really confused. A little bit of background: I am a student concentrating in Applied Mathematics-Biology and Chemistry or Computer Science (figuring it out still) at Ivy League (Non HYP). I received an offer from Goldman Sachs to be an intern in Risk Division. The amount of money I would be making is nice and it would really help next summer. My GPA is 3.75-4.00 , and I do clinical volunteering at the... Goldman Sachs Internship Vs. Research Junior Summer (Source: Student Doctor Network)

CVS vs. Walgreens as a new pharmacist (Class of 2020)? Walgreens is offering 46$/hr as a floater, and CVS is offering 53$/hr as a staff pharmacist.
I am currently a grad intern at Walgreens. Walgreens is offering 46$/hr as a floater, and CVS is offering 53$/hr as a staff pharmacist. I know the computer system at Walgreens, and I have to learn everything if I leave Walgreens and join CVS. Which one should I pick? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Do I have a chance?
I used to attend a state school in the U.S. Long story short, I was disqualified because of a 1.33 GPA with 88 credits attempted. I then moved to Canada to be with family and started school after a break and some much needed help with handling my mental health and I will be finishing my degree in Computer Science here next Fall with a 3.92. Compared to other pre-meds in my school I have solid research experience and volunteer hours(which I sort of stumbled onto). But I don't know if I... Do I have a chance? Can I use my iPad for interviews or should I buy a nice Webcam?
Hello, I have a couple interviews next month. I have a 2013 MacBook I could use, but the Webcam on it isn't great. Makes me look like I'm sulking in a dark room no matter the lighting. I also have a newer iPad pro that has a pretty good front facing camera on it. However, it is an iPad. I'm wondering if I could use the iPad or if I should buy a nicer Webcam and use my computer?
