WAMC: MCAT 504, gpa: 3.8
Hey guys. I wanted some help making my school list and was primarily thinking my stats would best be suited for DO. I would like to apply to some lower-tier MDs as well. Something to take into consideration for my app is that i had cancer throughout college so it impacted the types of ECs and the way I did on the MCAT. I am currently a senior biomedical engineering major and plan to apply this cycle and work at a MA for a clinic. cGPA and sGPA as calculated by AMCAS or AACOMAS... Question regarding my future and ambition
ohlawdhecomin said: Hello all! I hope your days are going well. As of August 2022, I have graduated with a biomedical engineering bachelors (B.S.E., GPA: 3.1, sGPA: 2.7~) and I am currently a non-degree seeking master's student this semester to focus on a patent I'm working on while also a few classes, while hopefully working full time in the engineering industry. My B.S.E. was filled with regret. I split my focus between pre-med and engineering, and ended up doing horribly in both. I dropped pre-med and... Click to expand... Georgia Tech or UGA Honors
Please help me decide which college is better for me. I’ve gotten acceptance into both UGA honors in biology and Georgia Tech in biomedical engineering. I’m currently leaning towards a career in medicine but I’m not 100% sure yet. If I lose interest in medicine in the future, I don’t want to regret not pursuing engineering at Georgia Tech. On the other hand, how difficult is it to work towards medical school while majoring in biomedical engineering in Tech? Or is it not worth it to work... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Living Abroad During Gap Year?
Hello! I am a 4th year undergrad studying biomedical engineering at a well-ranked public university. I have been planning on applying to med school in the next cycle (entering med school Fall 2024), but I've been hearing recently that it's not a good idea to live abroad during the application year. For context, I am hoping to receive a Fulbright grant to study in Belgium next year, so getting time off to return to the US for interviews hopefully won't be too bad as many classes at the... Am I doing enough? DIY Postbacc abysmal GPA/okay-ish MCAT
Hi everyone, First time poster here, I apologize in advance for the novel of a post. I was looking for some advice on whether or not I am doing enough for my DIY postbacc and what I could do to improve my application. I want to first start off by saying my performance during undergrad was absolute trash. I know I did awful, but I am currently taking steps to try and improve. I graduated in 2018 with a B.S. in biology and a minor in biomedical engineering. A mixture of general immaturity... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)
