Why choose an MD/PhD in Bioengineering/Biomedical Engineering?
I'm interested in pursuing bioengineering for my graduate program. I am not too interested in an extremely basic project and it seems that most of the more translational projects in topics such as tissue regeneration/drug delivery that I have an interest in fall under the bioengineering programs at the schools I'm interested in. Just took the DAT today and I'm really happy with my scores but I want to know how good my chances at admission are. 23 AA, 21 PAT, 22 QR, 22 RC, 24 GC, 21 OC, 23 BIO. I'm in biomedical engineering with a 3.88 GPA overall. When must I commit to medical school?
I'm a high school junior right now and I plan to major in either chemical engineering or biomedical engineering in college (depending on the school). Medical school is an option for me, but I'm not 100% sure that I want to commit so much time to becoming a physician. I've heard that bio/chem engineers who are also premeds give up a lot of internships in order to shadow physicians and take all the necessary med school pre reqs.

Community College to UCSD to Medical School
I didn't do very well in high school so I was forced to attend a CC. At the CC I did very well, 3.7 GPA. I took my pre-med courses there. Then I transferred to UCSD and currently majoring in Biomedical Engineering. I currently have a 3.79 GPA and got a 509 on the MCAT. Will I be accepted into medical school?

Community College Credits???!!!!
I want to know if Medical schools look down upon me if I take my pre-med courses at a community college. Im in high school right now a junior with 3.6 GPA. I dont want to go to a 4 year university because I want to save money for medical school. So what do med schools think of taking pre-med courses at a community college?
