Nasopharyngeal carriage rate, serotype distribution, and antimicrobial susceptibility profile of Streptococcus pneumoniae isolated from children under five years old in Kotabaru, South Kalimantan, Indonesia
CONCLUSIONS: MDR S. pneumoniae vaccine type strains were dominated by serotype 19F. The implementation of a pneumococcal conjugate vaccine program in Indonesia might reduce MDR strains circulating in the community in the future.PMID:34294592 | DOI:10.1016/j.jmii.2021.06.006
