PET-CT shows advantage of Intra-Arterial vs. Intravenous Delivery of PAMAM Dendrimers for targeting the brain but their accumulation is transient

Conclusions: While here we tested generation-4 hydroxy terminated PAMAM dendrimer, the same dendrimer with different surface modifications and ligands for specific brain targets can potentially exhibit higher brain retention. Our study may serve as a benchmark for quantitative performance of dendrimer-based diagnostics and therapeutics in the CNS diseases.
