Associations between persistent organic pollutants and metabolic syndrome in morbidly obese individuals
ConclusionIn subjects with morbid obesity, metabolic syndrome was related to circulating levels of organochlorine pesticides and PCBs suggesting that these compounds aggravate clinically relevant complications of obesity.
