Integrative Bioinformatics Analysis Reveals Potential Target Genes and PTEN Signaling in Breast Cancer and Effect of Zingiber officinale (Ginger) and Allium sativum (Garlic) extract on It
CONCLUSION: Taken together, we introduce a number of novel promising diagnostic biomarkers for breast cancer. The use of garlic and ginger in the treatment of cancer can be useful. This action is probably through the antioxidant mechanism, and regulation of the expression of cancer related genes such as PTEN.PMID:38546072 | DOI:10.31557/APJCP.2024.25.3.893 (Source: Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention)

Endothelial ELABELA improves post-ischemic angiogenesis by upregulating VEGFR2 expression
CONCLUSION: Our results indicated that endothelial ELA is a positive regulator of post-ischemic angiogenesis via upregulating VEGFR2 expression. Targeting ELA may be a potential therapeutic option for peripheral arterial diseases.PMID:38548174 | DOI:10.1016/j.trsl.2024.03.011 (Source: Translational Research : the journal of laboratory and clinical medicine)

Endothelial-Specific Reduction in Arf6 Impairs Insulin-Stimulated Vasodilation and Skeletal Muscle Blood Flow Resulting in Systemic Insulin Resistance in Mice
CONCLUSIONS: Results from this study support the conclusion that endothelial Arf6 signaling is essential for maintaining insulin sensitivity. Reduced expression of endothelial Arf6 impairs insulin-mediated vasodilation and results in systemic insulin resistance. These results have therapeutic implications for diseases that are associated with endothelial cell dysfunction and insulin resistance such as diabetes.PMID:38545783 | DOI:10.1161/ATVBAHA.123.319375 (Source: Arteriosclerosis, Thrombosis and Vascular Biology)
