WAMC/School LIst (3.55 GPA, 520 MCAT), DI athlete
Hi, I graduated in May 2023 and am applying in the upcoming cycle. I am having a bit of a difficult time picking schools because my MCAT is more competitive than my GPA. During undergrad, I dedicated most of my free time to my sport, so I feel I don't have as many substantial extracurriculars as I would have liked. Are there any schools that particularly like student-athletes? Which schools place a greater emphasis on MCAT vs GPA or a strong upward trend? Any advice is appreciated ... What are my chances for DO admission?
Hello Everyone, I am a Canadian applicant who is serious about applying to DO schools. I currently have a 513 MCAT which will expire after this cycle. I have a 3.95 cGPA. I applied to MD schools last cycle but did not receive any interviews, just 4 pre II holds. Since the last application, I have started working on a systematic review, and working as a Kinesiologist (Healthcare practitioner) as I severely lacked clinical experience. I work with patients in rehab and design exercise plans... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Strongly Considering Going Back to Fellowship for Sports Medicine
Looking for some insight. I'm about 8 months out of a pretty solid academic EM program. I did well in residency, tried to see as many patients as I could and do as many procedures as I could in the limited 3 years I had there. I took a job back in my home town in a small community ED. I am busier than I ever was in residency, with actually much sicker patients. At my Level 1 academic center, EM consisted of taking a number of transfers and making a lot of consultants. Here in the community... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

How common is pediatrics before sports medicine fellowships?
Can anyone tell me about peds to sports fellowships in terms of likelihood of getting into fellowship and job market after. I understand most sports medicine Drs spend a portion of their time on their primary specialty. How common is it for someone to come from pediatrics? What is the salary for sports medicine dr. in the northeast. Pediatrician salary's are stockly low (mid 100s in NY). Will a sports fellowship change that? (Source: Student Doctor Network)
