Application of Hydrogenated Soya Lecithin in Solid Dispersion and Oily Gel, and the Study of Skin-Applied Formulations
Yakugaku Zasshi. 2024;144(1):87-97. doi: 10.1248/yakushi.23-00155.ABSTRACTI have been studying the improvement of drug solubility using solid dispersion and skin-applied formulations. When preparing solid dispersions using phosphatidylcoline (PC) as a carrier, drug with hydrogen-donating groups interacts with PC to produce amorphous solid dispersions with high drug content; this overcomes improves drug absorption. The drug was solubilized and supersaturated in the oil-based gel formed with hyadrogenated lecithin; this facilitates drug permeation through the skin. The promoting effect differs with the nature of the oil used...

Interdigitation of lipids for vesosomal formulation of ergotamine tartrate with caffeine: A futuristic trend of intranasal route
Conclusion: The stable vesosomes prepared using interdigitation of saturated phospholipids proved to be a viable option for ergotamine when administered intranasally for better absorption and bioavailability coupled with ease of administration gaining wider patient acceptance.PMID:38158799 | DOI:10.1080/03639045.2023.2301018 (Source: Drug Development and Industrial Pharmacy)

Performance evaluation of natural Olea europaea (olive oil)-based blended esters with butylated hydroxyanisole and butylated hydroxytoluene: optimization using response surface methodology
In this study, we aimed to investigate the role of key input factors [A-speed, B-time, and C-temperature] on the output response [Y-breakdown voltage]. It was determined that the optimal conditions for [Y] are [A-699.91 rpm, B-49.95 min, and C-88.75 °C]. In order to ensure the desirable properties, the natural esters were subjected to certain experimentations such as breakdown voltage (BDV), viscosity, fire point (FeP), and flash point (FhP). From the results, it is observed that the natural esters and blended natural esters can be used in the transformer as an alternate insulating medium and that the antioxidants have a ...

Dietary hydrolyzed soya lecithin affects feed intake, abundance of bacteria in the caecum, fatty acid composition and area of adipocytes in pre ‐mating primiparous V‐line female rabbit
In conclusion, soya lecithin at a dose of 0.5% increased feed intake and energy storage in adipocytes and improved the fatty acid profile of periovarian fat. (Source: Journal of Animal Physiology and Animal Nutrition)
