NIH T32 Payback Agreement
I recently ended my T32 part of the way through the second year, so I am subject to the NIH payback agreement. No one at my institution was able to provide any insight, as they haven't had anyone leave early before (to their knowledge), and after speaking to the folks at NIH I'm a bit confused about how to complete the obligation. I've taken a position at a large local group practice as a staff psychologist where my salary is dependent on direct contact hours. However, there are some... Relocation funds and Early Career
I know that mid or senior level psychologists can be offered relocation funds for recruitment purposes or this is added during salary negotiations, but I've never heard this discussed in regards to early career roles. Job ads are of course no help, rarely do they disclose a salary or salary range, let alone if there is the possibility of relocation funds. So I'm wondering if anyone here received/was offered relocation funds during the early career years (or knows of someone who was). If... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Any general dentists that worked > 40 hours for a few years to pay off loans?
Curious about any stories you or anyone you know might have about working lets say 50-60 hours a week at the beginning of your career. How did you find that job? How much were you making? I'm trying to distinguish this from the usual salary threads by focusing specifically on individuals who worked much more than average (Source: Student Doctor Network)

2023 Dental Salary Survey
https://cdn.dentalpost.net/web/SalarySurvey_2023_AllPositions.pdf I came across this interesting report and thought I should share it with everyone here. I know dentist compensation is a question that frequently comes up in this forum by dental and pre-dental students, so I found these numbers on page 9 and 10 of the report. To sum it up, GP owners have an average income of $290k and a median of $250k, while GP associates' average is $196k and median $180k. Some specialists numbers can... RVU math.. am i doing this right ?
looking for my first job at the moment and i've been trying to make sure i dont end up getting suckered into a contract i dont fully understand. I will be interviewing at an academic facility in a major metropolitan area for an outpatient position with a mix of dual diagnosis patients. Pay for first 2 years is a gaurenteed base, however it then turns into pure RVU based system. So I want to be able to guage what my estimated salary would be once it turns to that. so my understanding is... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Private Lab owner income?
What would be the take home earnings range for an owner of a small to medium sized private reference lab? I have worked in several labs with gross revenues approaching the 10s of millions, but company revenues versus expenses at the town halls have often been break even. My dream is to someday own a small laboratory operation of my own specializing in hemepath, but I’m having a hard time believing I can turn a profit or take home a positive salary. Any perspective or thoughts? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Manage floor admissions, closed icu. So yearly salary is 349k? Reasonable salary breakdown
I am asking very generally… what % breakdown is reasonable to expect and/or common, in terms of base + wRVU? Is one’s salary often 50/50; base/production? Or is it skewed a lot more towards production? If a hospital offers 300k+ production, what is the final salary one could expect on average, assuming they generate an average amount of RVU? Of course the real answer is that it depends, but I’d appreciate any general inputs on this topic. Thanks in advance. (Source: Student Doctor Network)
