The U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) authorized agencies to grant dual compensation (salary offset) waivers for certain reemployed annuitants as provided under the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2010. The waiver is suitable for workforce retention of retirees with unique technical skills or those with capabilities to serve as mentors to IC staff.
