Clinical significance of expression level of ZNF471 in gastric cancer
CONCLUSION: ZNF471 functions as a tumor suppressor during the pathogenesis of GC. Thus, it is a promising biomarker for diagnosis and therapy of GC.PMID:37693683 | PMC:PMC10492033

Study of LncRNA BANCR Expression in Tumor Tissues and Adjacent Normal Tissues in Gastric Cancer Patients
CONCLUSIONS: The observed upregulation of BANCR in GC tissues implies its potential involvement as an oncogenic lncRNA in GC patients. Furthermore, BANCR may serve as a promising biomarker for identification and treatment of GC.PMID:37694252 | PMC:PMC10492603 | DOI:10.4103/abr.abr_260_22

Synthesis and In Silico Studies of Quinazolinones as PARP-1 Inhibitors
CONCLUSION: All the synthesized compounds have a better docking score than niraparib (-9.05). Further, the synthesized compounds have a favorable ADME profile. Therefore, they may serve as important leads in discovering PARP-1 inhibitors.PMID:37691193 | DOI:10.2174/1386207326666230905153443

Evolving perspectives regarding the role of the PD-1/PD-L1 pathway in gastric cancer immunotherapy
Biochim Biophys Acta Mol Basis Dis. 2023 Sep 9:166881. doi: 10.1016/j.bbadis.2023.166881. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTGastric cancer (GC) is an increasing global health problem and is one of the leading cancers worldwide. Traditional therapies, such as radiation and chemotherapy, have made limited progress in enhancing their efficacy for advanced GC. The development of immunotherapy for advanced GC has considerably improved with a deeper understanding of the tumor microenvironment. Immunotherapy using checkpoint inhibitors is a new therapeutic option that has made substantial advances in the treatment of other malignanci...

The disappearance of gastric metastasis and liver metastasis in non-small cell lung adenocarcinoma is due to osimertinib
CONCLUSIONS: This is the first report to our knowledge of a patient who presented with gastric and hepatic metastases from lung cancer and achieved complete remission with osimertinib and local radiotherapy, with good quality of life, which also provides a basis for future clinical work and is of great significance.PMID:37695388 | DOI:10.1007/s00432-023-05386-7
