Case report: Central nervous system involvement of human graft versus host diseaseReport of 7 cases and a review of literature
We report 7 cases of CNS-GvHD among which two had histological-proven disease. We reviewed 32 additional cases of CNS GvHD published in literature since 1990. In this cohort, 34 patients were transplanted for hematologic malignancies, and 5 for non-malignant hematopoiesis disorders. Of these patients, 25 had a history of chronic GvHD and immunosuppressive treatment had been decreased or discontinued in 14 patients before neurological symptoms onset. Patients with rheumatoid arthritis have impaired long-term outcomes after myocardial infarction: a nationwide case-control registry study
ConclusionRA is independently associated with poorer prognosis after MI. RA duration and corticosteroid usage and dosage were independent predictors of mortality after MI in RA. Special attention is needed for improvement of outcomes after MI in this vulnerable population.

Cervical aspergillosis with dissemination to the central nervous system: Case reports and review of the literature.
CONCLUSION: IA must be considered a possibility whenever an immunocompromised patient presents with a new brain lesion. These lesions require surgical evacuation, a procedure that allows for diagnostic confirmation and enhances prognosis. Appropriate anti-fungal therapy must be started as soon as the diagnosis is confirmed. Inflammation and immunomodulatory therapies influence the relationship between ATP-binding cassette A1 membrane transporter-mediated cholesterol efflux capacity and coronary atherosclerosis in rheumatoid arthritis
CONCLUSION: ABCA1-CEC associated with decreased atherosclerosis in patients with below-median baseline and time-averaged CRP and bDMARD use. Conversely, ABCA1-CEC associated with increased plaque in those with higher CRP, corticosteroid users, methotrexate nonusers, and bDMARD nonusers.
