Apixaban versus No Anticoagulation in Patients Undergoing Long-Term Dialysis with Incident Atrial Fibrillation.
CONCLUSIONS: In patients with kidney failure and nonvalvular atrial fibrillation, treatment with apixaban was not associated with a lower incidence of new stroke, transient ischemic attack, or systemic thromboembolism but was associated with a higher incidence of fatal or intracranial bleeding. Transapical aortic valve replacement in extreme-risk patients: outcome, risk factors and mid-term results ADULT CARDIAC
CONCLUSIONS TA-TAVR in extreme-risk patients carries a moderate risk of hospital mortality. Severe comorbidities and presence of residual paravalvular leakages affect the mid-term survival, whereas surviving patients have an acceptable quality of life without rehospitalizations for cardiac decompensation.

Use and safety of heparin-free maintenance hemodialysis in the USA
Conclusions Patient markers of increased risk of bleeding and facility region associated with heparin-free HD use. Despite the potential benefits of avoiding heparin use, heparin-free HD was not significantly associated with decreased hazards of death, bleeding or thrombosis, suggesting that it may be no safer than HD with heparin.

Prognostic Factors for Survival After Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation for Cardiogenic Shock
The aim of this study is to examine factors that can predict mortality in patients that have veno-arterial extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (VA-ECMO) instituted for cardiogenic shock. A single-center, retrospective study of 127 patients who underwent VA-ECMO for cardiogenic shock between January 2003 and December 2017 was conducted. A retrospective, longitudinal study estimating the association between interdialytic weight gain and cardiovascular events and death in hemodialysis patients

Conclusion: In a representative assessment of coronary angiography and PCI outcomes, some major complications are higher that those reported in international literature. Significant access site bleeding was low, likely explained by the high prevalence of radial procedures.
