Caveolin-1 aggravates neurological deficits by activating neuroinflammation following experimental intracerebral hemorrhage in rats
CONCLUSIONS: Our research revealed CAV1 aggravated neurological dysfunction in a rat ICH model. ConclusionThese findings suggest that the choice of NCCT ± CTA (without CTP) for the assessment of mechanical thrombectomy within 6–24 h after LVO in the anterior circulation is not significantly different from CTP; instead, the choice of NCCT ± CTA significantly reduces the time from onset to arterial puncture.

Identifying large vessel occlusion at first glance in telemedicine
ConclusionThese findings confirm that the presence of head and/or gaze deviation serves as a reliable biomarker in stroke-based telemedicine for the diagnosis of LVO, as well as a strong indicator for MT. Furthermore, this marker is just as reliable as the NIHSS score but easier to assess. We therefore suggest that any stroke patient who displays head and/or gaze deviation should immediately be scheduled for vessel imaging and subsequently transported to a MT-competent center.

Ticagrelor versus clopidogrel after intracranial stent angioplasty: a real-world study
ConclusionIn our study involving patients with acute ischemic stroke who had undergone intracranial stenting, aspirin-ticagrelor was not found to be superior to aspirin-clopidogrel in reducing the rate of ischemic vascular events. The risk of bleeding did not differ between the two groups. Aspirin-ticagrelor does not lower total restenosis and symptomatic restenosis risk at follow-up.

ConclusionCompared to LA, rescue CS during MT does  not significantly improve the 90 days of good prognosis and reduce the incidence of sICH and mortality in patients with anterior circulation AIS.
