Linkage Disequilibrium between LDLR < em > rs688 < /em > and < em > AvaII < /em > Genes and its Significant Association with Ischemic Stroke
CONCLUSIONS: Linkage disequilibrium existed between LDLR rs688 and AvaII genes. With the wild type gene (WT) (rs688/AvaII: CC/TT) as reference, rs688/AvaII: CT/TC, CT/CC and TT/CC increased the risk of ischemic stroke, which might be a genetic marker used for the screen of high-risk population contributing to the prevention of the disease.PMID:37519169 | DOI:10.31083/j.jin2204094

Screening Serum Biomarkers for Rats Preconditioned with Hyperbaric Oxygen: Potential of Predicting Prognosis for Stroke
CONCLUSIONS: Haemopexin may be developed as a predictive biomarker that indicated the effectiveness of a preconditioning strategy against cerebral ischaemic injury.PMID:37519161 | DOI:10.31083/j.jin2204103

The Role of Mitochondrial Biogenesis in Ischemic Stroke
J Integr Neurosci. 2023 Jul 5;22(4):88. doi: 10.31083/j.jin2204088.ABSTRACTIschaemic stroke is a sudden neurological disorder caused by localised cerebral ischaemia and persistent cerebral infarction. Occlusion of large arteries due to atherothrombosis, cerebral embolism (i.e., embolic infarction), no thrombotic occlusion in small, deep cerebral arteries (i.e., lacunar infarction), and stenosis of proximal arteries due to hypotension leading to decreased cerebral blood flow in arterial supply zones are the most common causes of ischemic stroke (i.e., hemodynamic stroke). It is now known that organelles play an important ro...
