Circadian rhythms may not influence the outcomes of thrombolysis in patients with ischemic stroke: A study from China.
In conclusion, there was no evidence to predict that circadian rhythms could influence the outcomes of AIS patients treated with rt-PA in China, although stroke onset during nighttime might aggravate neurological impairment before treatment. Sex as predictor for achieved health outcomes and received care in ischemic stroke and intracerebral hemorrhage: a register-based study
ConclusionsA lower proportion of women had good functioning, a difference that remained in IS after adjustments for age, socioeconomic factors, living arrangements, ADL dependency, and stroke severity. The amount of received hospital care was lower for women after adjustments. Whether shorter hospital stay results in lower function or is a consequence of lower function cannot be elucidated. Peroxynitrite activates NLRP3 inflammasome and contributes to hemorrhagic transformation and poor outcome in ischemic stroke with hyperglycemia.

Specific features of neurological deficit and changes in the cellular composition of tracheal lymphoid structures during the immediate stage (day 1) of hemorrhagic stroke were studied in rats with various behavioral parameters. Modeling of hemorrhage in the left caudate nucleus of the brain was followed by the development of motor disturbances in the forelimb use asymmetry test and corner rotation paradigm. We studied the ability of technologically processed antibodies to the brain-specific S100 protein (drug Prospekta) to reduce the brain lesion area, neurological disorders, and mortality in a rat model of hemorrhagic stroke.
