Cancers, Vol. 15, Pages 3992: Long-Term Adverse Effects of Neck Radiotherapy in Childhood on the Carotid Arteries in Survivors of Hodgkin Lymphoma
Conclusions: Vascular changes in survivors of childhood Hodgkin lymphoma after neck RT seem to be long-term. Therefore, these patients may have an increased risk of stroke. We suggest refinement of international guidelines according to our results.

On Hoofs and Zebras – Struma Ovarii
A 75-year-old mother of ten suffering from a urinary tract infection developed macrohematuria and therefore an abdominal ultrasound was performed, followed by a CT scan when an unexpected large pelvic mass was discovered. Past history included hypertension, paroxysmal atrial fibrillation, and remote history of minor stroke (on candesartan, dabigatran, bisoprolol); bilateral chronic lymphedema; and hysterectomy due to prolapse at the age of 40. Imaging revealed nephrolithiasis and a prominent left adnexal mass suspected as ovarian cancer.

Loading Intracranial Drug-Eluting Reservoirs Across the Blood –Brain Barrier With Focused Ultrasound
Efficient, sustained and long-term delivery of therapeutics to the brain remains an important challenge to treatment of diseases such as brain cancer, stroke and neurodegenerative disease. Focused ultrasound can assist movement of drugs into the brain, but frequent and long-term use has remained impractical. Single-use intracranial drug-eluting depots show promise but are limited for the treatment of chronic diseases as they cannot be refilled non-invasively. Refillable drug-eluting depots could serve as a long-term solution, but refilling is hindered by the blood –brain barrier (BBB), which prevents drug refills from accessing the brain.

Ultrasound guided(USG) trucut biopsy of the pleura, lymph nodes and chest wall/subcutaneous lesions performed by respiratory physicians
Conclusion: Trained respiratory physician are able to safely run US guided biopsy service. This would increase capacity, reduce the diagnostic delays and obviate the need for invasive procedures. Our diagnostic accuracy is similar to previous studies performed.

Assessing radiation-induced carotid vasculopathy using ultrasound after unilateral irradiation: a cross-sectional study
