Alteplase versus tenecteplase for thrombolysis after ischaemic stroke (ATTEST): a phase 2, randomised, open-label, blinded endpoint study

Findings Between Jan 1, 2012, and Sept 7, 2013, 355 patients were screened, of whom 157 were eligible for intravenous thrombolysis, and 104 patients were enrolled. 52 were assigned to the alteplase group and 52 to tenecteplase. Mild focal hypothermia regulates the dynamic polarization of microglia after ischemic stroke in mice.
Conclusions Hypothermia is protective following ischemic stroke and can reduce brain tissue loss. Moreover, hypothermia shifts the polarization of microglia from the M1 to the M2 phenotype in the ischemic mice brain. Prediction of the Multisegment Clot Sign on Dynamic CT Angiography of Cardioembolic Stroke ADULT BRAIN
CONCLUSIONS: The presence of the multisegment clot sign on dynamic CTA specifically indicates intracranial large-artery occlusion caused by an embolism from a cardiac source, which may be useful for acute management and secondary prevention of stroke.

Wake-Up Stroke versus Stroke with Known Onset Time: Clinical and Multimodality CT Imaging Characteristics
Conclusions: There are only minor differences between clinical and imaging characteristics of WUS patients and patients who arrive in the hospital within the time criteria for intravenous or endovascular treatment. Pentraxin-3 in Thrombolytic Therapy for Acute Ischemic Stroke: No Relation with Curative Effect and Prognosis.

Extending thrombolysis to 4·5–9 h and wake-up stroke using perfusion imaging: a systematic review and meta-analysis of individual patient data

Deep regression neural networks for collateral imaging from dynamic susceptibility contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance perfusion in acute ischemic stroke
ConclusionThe results suggested that the proposed network performs equally well for both control and acute ischemic stroke groups. The proposed network could help automate the assessment of collateral status in an efficient and effective manner and improve the quality and yield of diagnosis of acute ischemic stroke. The follow-up study will entail the clinical evaluation of the collateral images that are generated by the proposed network.
