Bm-19 * symptomatic and economic burden of brain metastases in patients with alk+ nsclc
CONCLUSIONS: BM presents a substantial symptomatic and economic burden in patients with ALK+ NSCLC. Given the large percentage of ALK+ NSCLC patients who will eventually develop BM, this highlights an important unmet need.

Conclusion: Cancer was a frequent topic for disease-focused messages in African-American churches. In addition, three of the five most frequent disease topics matched the leading causes of death in the African-American community. The match was not as close in regards to leading causes of cancer death. Breast and prostate cancer information was frequently found; however, despite the high rates of mortality associated with lung cancer, colorectal cancer, and leukemia/lymphoma, information on these cancers was present much less frequently. Limbic Encephalitis Exacerbations and Remissions Charted by Microglial PET Scan: A Case Study (P4.104)
CONCLUSIONS: C-11-PK11195 PET imaging can be useful in the diagnosis of limbic encephalitis and for monitoring response to treatment. MALT lymphoma may also be associated with autoimmune or paraneoplastic encephalitis, especially in individuals with other predisposing factors to autoimmune disorders, such as Tourette’s and autoimmune thyroid disease. Daucosterol protects neurons against oxygen–glucose deprivation/reperfusion-mediated injury by activating IGF1 signaling pathway
In this study, we investigated the effects of daucosterol on the survival of cultured cortical neurons after neurons were subjected to oxygen and glucose deprivation and simulated reperfusion (OGD/R) 2 2 OGD/R, oxygen and glucose deprivation and simulated reperfusion. , and determined the corresponding molecular mechanism. Neuroprotective Role of an N-acetyl Serotonin Derivative via Activation of Tropomyosin-related Kinase Receptor B after Subarachnoid Hemorrhage in a Rat Model.

Central Nervous System Complications and Outcomes after Allogeneic Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation
This retrospective study of 351 patients, who have undergone allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation between 2002 and 2011 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, demonstrated 12% incidence of central nervous system complications. The most common complications included posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome (40%), stroke or transient ischemic attack (24%), seizures (20%), and infection (9%). The 5-year overall survival was significantly lower among patients with versus without central nervous system complications (14% vs. 44%, p=0.0004).
