Prevalence of Ischemic and Hemorrhagic Strokes in Qena Governorate, Egypt: Community-based Study
Conclusions: The overall prevalence rate of stroke is nearly the same as in other Egyptian governorates and is higher than other Arabic countries.

Application of Machine Learning Techniques to Identify Data Reliability and Factors Affecting Outcome After Stroke Using Electronic Administrative Records
Conclusion: Electronic administrative records from this cohort produced reliable outcome prediction and identified clinically appropriate factors negatively impacting most outcome variables following hospital admission with stroke. This presents a means of future identification of modifiable factors associated with patient discharge destination. This may potentially aid in patient selection for certain interventions and aid in better patient and clinician education regarding expected discharge outcomes.

Stroke is one of the most severe complications of nephrotic syndrome (NS), only a few cases have been reported in previous literature. Some of those cases are not clear about whether the stroke was purely caused by NS because they also had other risk factors for stroke, such as old age, hypertension. On November 3, 2014, I was in nursing school working as a student nurse at a hospital in Seattle. My first sign that something was not quite right was when I was walking through the nursing station and both of my eyes went blurry. I could still see color but I couldn't see letters. Comparison Of Large Vessel Stroke Patient Outcomes Before And After Initiation Of On-Site Endovascular Stroke Treatment Services (P2.015)
Discussion: For every 30 minutes until reperfusion, the probability of good recovery after large vessel stroke is decreased by about 10%. Transfer delays impede the benefit of endovascular recanalization. Comorbidities Related to Clinical Outcomes in Patients With Acute Ischemic Stroke Undergoing Mechanical Thrombectomy: Review of Literature and Experience at a Single Comprehensive Stroke Center.

Carotid artery stenosis, an underestimated cause of stroke recurrence in patients with ischaemic monocular visual loss.
CONCLUSIONS: Carotid stenosis ≥ 50% is present in patients with ocular ischaemia in approximately 20% of those with persistent visual loss and in 10% with transient visual loss. Those with carotid stenosis have a higher risk of stroke recurrence and should be considered urgent surgical intervention as other forms of stroke.
