Conclusion: There is a wide heterogeneity of postoperative cerebral hemodynamic findings among TBI patients who underwent DC, including hemodynamic heterogeneity between their cerebral hemispheres. Entrapment of the basilar artery within a clival fracture: case report and literature review.
We report the case of a 72-year-old man who presented with a longitudinal clivus fracture associated with a basilar artery entrapment. This entrapment was responsible for a basilar artery dissection, which led to an ischemic stroke in the pons. The patient was managed with medical treatment, mainly to avoid a progression towards an ischemic stroke. It consisted of heparin therapy followed by antiplatelet therapy which finally resulted in a successful outcome. Post-traumatic trigeminal neuropathy: correlation between objective and subjective assessments and a prediction model for neurosensory recovery
ConclusionsWe found a strong correlation of subjective well-being with the presence of brush stroke allodynia, thermal and/or mechanical hyperesthesia, and the size of the neuropathic area. These results suggest that positive symptoms dominate the effect on affect. In patients reporting poor subjective well-being in the absence of positive symptoms or a large neuropathic area, additional attention towards psychosocial triggers might enhance treatment outcome. The prediction model could contribute to establishing realistic expectations about the likelihood of neurosensory recovery but remains to be validated in future studies.

Cerebral basis of posttraumatic stress disorder following the Chernobyl disaster.
CONCLUSIONS: PTSD following radiation emergency is characterized by comorbidity of psychopathology, neurocognitive deficit, and cerebrovascular pathology with increased risk of cerebral atherosclerosis and stroke. The cerebral basis of this PTSD is proposed to be an abnormal communication between the pyramidal cells of the neocortex and the hippocampus, and deep brain structures. It is recommended that a system of emergency and long-term psychological and psychiatric care be organized for the survivors in Fukushima Daichi, Japan.
