Breast Cancer and Incident Cardiovascular Events. A Systematic Analysis at the Nationwide Level
CONCLUSIONS: In a large and contemporary analysis of female patients seen in French hospitals, women with history of breast cancer had higher risk of all-cause mortality, new onset heart failure and major bleeding compared to a matched cohort of women without breast cancer. Cardiovascular outcomes among patients with castration-resistant prostate cancer: A comparative safety study using US administrative claims data
CONCLUSIONS: Our study sought to quantify risk of HHF, AMI and ischemic stroke among CRPC patients initiating AAP relative to ENZ within a national administrative claims database. Increased risk for HHF among AAP compared to ENZ users was observed. The difference in myocardial infarction did not attain statistical significance after controlling for residual bias, and no differences were noted in ischemic stroke between the two treatments. These findings confirm labeled warnings and precautions for AAP for HHF and contribute to the comparative real-world evidence on AAP relative to ENZ.PMID:36879362 | DOI:10.1002/pros.24510

Health care costs for prostate cancer patients receiving androgen deprivation therapy: treatment and adverse events.
CONCLUSIONS: The economic burden of adverse events is relevant to programs and policies from clinic to government, and that burden merits consideration in the risks and benefits of adt.

Comparison of coronary artery bypass grafting and percutaneous coronary intervention in patients with heart failure with reduced ejection fraction and multivessel coronary artery disease.
Conclusions: In patients with HFrEF and multivessel CAD revascularization both with CABG and PCI resulted in similar survival rates. PCI is associated with increased risk of recurrent MI and urgent repeat revascularization, whereas the risk of stroke is similar in both methods.

Few studies have assessed the benefits of androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) in men with metastatic prostate cancer (PC; mPC) at an old age or with major cardiovascular conditions. A retrospective cohort consisted of 3835 men with newly diagnosed mPC from the Taiwan Cancer Registry of 2008–2014.
