Status epilepticus mimicking stroke recurrence.
CONCLUSION: Status epilepticus is not infrequent in patients with previous stroke and may present with negative neurological symptoms, thus mimicking a stroke recurrence. 3D fusion imaging assisted carotid artery stenting is safe and feasible.
CONCLUSIONS: Carotid stenting with 3D fusion in this pilot study was safe and feasible. 3D fusion techniques using either CTA or MRA allowed a significant reduction of contrast volume but did not reduce radiation dose or exposure time. Influence of Sex on Stroke Prognosis: A Demographic, Clinical, and Molecular Analysis
Conclusion Our data suggest that women who suffer from IS present with a poorer functional outcome than men at 3-months, regardless of other preclinical and clinical factors during the acute phase. These relationships seem to be mediated by atrial dysfunction and inflammation.
