Sleep duration and risk of stroke and coronary heart disease: a 9-year community-based prospective study of 0.5 million Chinese adults
CONCLUSIONS: While abnormal sleep duration (≤ 6 h or ≥ 9 h) was associated with higher risks of CVD, the risks were more extreme for those reporting ≤ 5 or ≥ 10 h, respectively and such individuals should be prioritised for more intensive treatment for CVD prevention.PMID:37710209 | DOI:10.1186/s12883-023-03367-4

Ecotoxicol Environ Saf. 2023 Jun 7;261:115115. doi: 10.1016/j.ecoenv.2023.115115. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTLimited studies investigated the effects of long-term ozone exposure on cardiometabolic health. We aimed to examine the association of long-term ozone exposure with a range of cardiometabolic diseases, as well as the subclinical indicators in Eastern China. The study included 202,042 adults living in 11 prefecture-level areas in Zhejiang Province between 2014 and 2021. Using a satellite-based model with a 1 × 1 km spatial resolution, we estimated residential 5-year average ozone exposures for each subject. Mixed...

Effects of comprehensive care measures based on the HAPA model on self-care, neurotransmitters and clinical outcomes in cerebral infarction patients
CONCLUSIONS: Comprehensive care measures of HAPA model may be used with advantage to improve the self-care ability, reduce the degree of neurological damage, and improve neurological function in cerebral infarction patients. Age, hypertension history, and NIHSS score after treatment were all risk factors related to poor prognosis.PMID:37259727 | DOI:10.26355/eurrev_202305_32452
